Travel to our county

Once in the United Kingdom our compact country has good air, rail and coach links. A network of motorways and roads will get you almost everywhere else. Beware - compared to most other countries our roads are busy! Herefordshire is positioned on the west of England - next to Wales. It's part of an area called The Marches, technically part of the 'Heart of England' or West Midlands

By road, use the Routeplanner We're about 3 hours from London (140 miles) and Manchester (140 miles), an hour or so (roughly 60 miles) from Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham.
